This is an Abaqus/Explicit animation of an acoustic wave that begins at the focus of a parabolic shape. The wave is reflected towards the other parabolic shape where it becomes concentrated at that focus. You can see this clearly in the last frame of the animation. Some science museums have reflectors such as these.
