Abstract
In this SIMULIA Tech Talk, we will describe the new capabilities in SIMULIA PowerFLOW 2021, which have been released in multiple stages this year. PowerFLOW 2021 introduces new capabilities that enable OEMs to streamline and automate simulation processes, reveal performance in real-world scenarios and meet certification requirements.
The rapid advancements in model build enable acceleration and automation for complex vehicle assemblies. The PowerFLOW connection to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform closes the loop between product design and simulation, in order to break silos between designers and simulation engineers.
Additional new capabilities:
- Run templates and management enable automation of complex real world scenarios requiring multi-step simulations, such as brake duty cycles and drive cycles
- Enable highly accurate simulation for aircraft configurations at take-off and landing stages for precise design of airframes using the new Total Energy Solver
- Compute rime ice buildup on airframes over minutes or hours with a fully automated and robust simulation process
- Use new aeroacoustics modeling capabilities to compute tonal noise frequencies caused by rotating components passing stationary support structures
- Take atmospheric effects into account for noise propagation at very long distances into a community along a flight path
