Abaqus/Explicit Simulation of the Low Velocity Impact of an Aluminum Honeycomb Sandwich Panel

When it comes to fabrics, metals and many other materials - the quality is typically judged by its durability and the way it feels. Often times heavy and hard conveys the meaning that the material in question is of a better essence and therefore more expensive. Honeycomb sandwich panels are the exception to this rule in that they are lighter and softer, yet stronger and more durable. Modeling these structures can be time consuming, but the Abaqus/CAE plug-in simplifies this task through an easy-to-use GUI.
