Dear all,
Here is our update on new Cloud Compute Experiences delivered as part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud R2021x FD07 upgrade that was deployed earlier this month.
In this release we are delivering key enhancements supporting both our native and Power'By Cloud Portfolio:
3DEXPERIENCE Fluids Simulations (Fluid Scenario Creation):
- You can now manually select the compute configuration (i.e. number of cores) when submitting your simulation to run on Cloud. Users can still use the default configuration which will automatically determine the compute configuration based on the number of elements in the model.
3DEXPERIENCE Structural Simulations (Parametric Design Study):
- Simulations submitted from the Parametric Design Study app now run on our new Cloud Computing Service, and benefit from best-in-class performance and robustness.
Please note that simulations will have to run locally if a SOLIDWORKS model was used to build it.
Abaqus Power'By Simulations (Simulation Manager):
- You can now manage Abaqus simulations using Analysis Cases in Simulation Manager. A new table view on the left hand side is now displaying the hierarchy of Simulations and Analysis Cases. Create new Analysis Cases to organize and run related input files within a Simulation:
- You will also find solver and execution options for Abaqus (including reference simulations) in the new Setup tab:
CST Studio Suite Power'By Simulations (Simulation Manager):
- You can now run CST Studio Suite simulations on the Cloud using the embedded license included in your Electromagnetics Engineer role. For this purpose, a new 16 cores configuration has been introduced.

As always, enjoy these updates and feel free to share your feedback !
