As part of the R2026x FD04 user assistance, SIMULIA R&D delivered a new 3DEXPERIENCE tutorial titled “Creating a Midsurface Mesh Using an Automated FEM Method.” This tutorial teaches you how to use an Automated FEM procedure to derive the midsurface from thin parts, mesh the midsurfaces, and create section definitions.
While completing this tutorial, you learn how to:
- Define a midsurface and mesh procedure for each part of an assembly.
- Use the defined procedures to automatically create meshes for the parts.
- View the meshed model and change the rendering options to show shell section thickness.
To complete these tutorials, you must have access to the Model Assembly Design app.
To try this tutorial yourself, see Creating a Midsurface Mesh Using an Automated FEM Method.
Thanks to @RP for his support in developing this tutorial.
