New 3DEXPERIENCE Example: Blood Flow with Scalar Transport

 Simulation Example

As part of the R2026x FD03 user assistance, SIMULIA R&D created a 3DEXPERIENCE example that teaches you how to simulate drug delivery through an artery by modeling multispecies fluid flow.

While completing this tutorial, you learn how to:

  • Define and extract a fluid flow region for a geometry-based flow volume analysis.
  • Create a physics domain with two liquid species, and assign mass diffusivity values to each species.
  • Analyze the results of the steady-state, internal flow analysis.
  • Plot isosurfaces to visualize the molecular mass fraction of each species.

You can apply this type of workflow to your own model and scenario to your own model and scenario.

To complete this example, you must have access to the Geometry Idealization Essentials, Fluid Scenario Creation, and Physics Results Explorer apps.

To try this example yourself, see Blood Flow with Scalar Transport.

Thank you to @Celia TABOADA, @Giuseppe TRAPANI, @Joseph CONAHAN, @Dean WALSTON, and Benjamin RAHMING for all their effort in bringing this example to life!
