Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend Eric Weybrant's presentation at the SCC on, "Multiphysics in Abaqus 6.12: Discover New Simulation Possibilities." (Hopefully, that explains the "ballroom" tie-in in the subject line.)
During a 45 minute period, Eric took us for a journey through the latest features and enhancements for multiphysics in Abaqus 6.12, and even offered up some slides from releases over the past three years to show just how much the multiphysics capabilities in Abaqus have been developed.
An extremely short list of the topics covered included:
- Magnetostatic response
- Nonlinear viscoelasticity
- Smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH)
- Porous media flow
In short, it was an extremely impressive breakdown of multiphysics capabilities in Abaqus.
Why should you listen to me though? Find out what's new in Abaqus 6.12 by registering for May 22nd webinar.
In Eric's words, "Abaqus 6.12 is the strongest release ever." If you did not have a chance to attend the SCC this year, you must attend the webinar. Too much to miss!
