Monthly Highlights - September 2013

Hello Everyone!

September was an exciting month at SIMULIA for many reasons, but particularly because it is the beginning of our Regional User Meeting (RUM) season. We are very passionate about connecting with our users face-to-face and hearing what you've been working on in conjunction with Abaqus, Isight, SLM and more! These meetings are about you and for you. If you have not yet registered - please check out the user meeting closest to you. I guarantee there is something unique and beneficial about each one.

We were pleased to announce very big news over the course of the month. The first being the acquisition of Safe Technology, provider of the fe-safe product, an add-on to Abaqus/CAE. fe-safe uses proven techniques to accurately determine the fatigue life of metal components under complex cyclic loading. Members of the Safe Technology team are attending and presenting at the RUMs. Be sure to seek them out and learn more. September also brought the thrilling victory of ORACLE Team USA. Dassault Systèmes is proud to be associated with this win as an official supplier. The winner of the 34th America’s Cup chose Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, including CATIA for virtual product design, ENOVIA for collaborative innovation, and SIMULIA for realistic simulation, to develop boats for the most technologically advanced America’s Cup ever. Last, but certainly not least - we've opened up the Call for Papers at the 2014 SIMULIA Community Conference! We encourage everyone to consider submitting an abstract for consideration in presenting at this widely known and attended event taking place next year in Providence, Rhode Island.

Perhaps you've noticed a few enhancements on the SLC homepage. We have added our Twitter feed so that you can socialize with us :) If you aren't already, be sure to "follow" us! There is also the new edition of the FREE download for the Abaqus 6.13 Student Edition.

Hopefully all of this exciting news and latest enhancements keep you coming back for more!
