Abstract

Modelling and simulation on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform are driven by MODSIM — a unique unified modelling and simulation data model. This may seem like an obscure detail, but in fact, it has an enormous impact at every level.

Here we shall explore the benefits and the value of this unified data model, from the way it affects the day-to-day activities of designers, its ability to create fully connected validations, all the way to its role in delivering highly advanced machine learning predictions.

Francesco Polidoro is the Director of Worldwide Business Development at SIMULIA. He spent the last 15 years helping companies develop products through the use of numerical simulation. 
Francesco’s background lies in fluid simulation across several industries, from aerospace to automotive. Francesco holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
