I recently had the opportunity to offer the attached presentation to the 85th SAVE (www.savecenter.org) Shock & Vibration Symposium in Reston, VA. The event was reasonably well attended - this being the 3rd-year without government sponsorship of the conference (formerly known as the SAVIAC S&V Symposium). 3DS/SIMULIA was represented by Mark KERRIGAN, Mike SASDELLI, Peter NANNUCCI and me.
My presentation was among the better attended of the symposium - a fact that I attribute as much to the timing (it was the first presentation in the first session and the first listed in the program!) as to the subject matter. Still, the presentation - a culmination of my roughly 5-years of on-and-off (far more off than on) work on this workflow - was reasonably well received and several very interesting discussion took place with key people in the industry both during and after this session.
Though in the end I presented a solo presentation, I was helped along the way by literally dozens of current and former colleagues, only a couple of whom are singled-out at the end of this presentation. I am grateful to everyone who assisted my efforts through the years for their patient counsel, suggestions and gentle steering along the way.
Note: the presentation is classified DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A. Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited.
