French offshore racing company, MerConcept, is responsible for designing and assembling the Ultim trimaran SVR-Lazartigue, a new generation of “flying boats”. The company needed a powerful design and simulation platform to optimize the performance of its racing boats and manage them throughout their lifecycle. Using PowerFLOW and backed by the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, MerConcept created a virtual twin of the SVR-Lazartigue to perform high-fidelity simulations and has significantly optimized the design and technical capabilities of SVR-Lazartigue.
Multiple stakeholders from different disciplines are now able to work together effectively in real-time on the platform and the company is transferring its knowledge to support the industry toward more sustainable mobility.
