In this video, SIMULIA Champion and Associate Professor Jinfeng Cao, shares how she developed her passion for simulation and engineering, how she began using Abaqus, and how she deepened her research using other SIMULIA products. Cao describes how she uses Fe-safe as a life expectancy prediction tool and PowerFLOW in the design process.

Isight and Tosca also play a vital role in innovative, optimized, and lightweight design work. Prof. Cao appreciates that SIMULIA allows participation in development work; that it's a highly intelligent solver that automatically determines whether analysis can be done and that it's a complete solution to complex contact problems.

Prof. Cao is an associate professor at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of Qingdao University of Technology. She received her doctorate degree in engineering mechanics from the China University of Mining & Technology, Beijing. In the same year, she joined the Qingdao University of Technology and has worked there since. With more than 20 years of experience using Abaqus, she has published four books on the secondary development of Abaqus software and Python language and is among the first group of participants and pioneers to localize Abaqus software in China.
