RUM2021 R&D ​​​​​​​Abaqus ​​​​​​​

Materials modeling technology has been one of Abaqus’ traditional strengths and continues to be an active area of development, driven by customer needs for accurate modeling of complex material behaviors and processes.

The 2021 RUM presentation in this video provides an update of new material modeling capabilities that have been added to the Abaqus solver recently.  

While these capabilities can be quite powerful, proper characterization of the material model is key to increase the fidelity of the results and achieve optimal designs. Therefore, model parameters should be calibrated from test data to ensure that the model provides a correct representation of the material behavior for the application of interest. To this end, I encourage all of you to take a look at the latest enhancements to the Materials Calibration capabilities in the 3DEXPERIENCE.
