RUM2021 RUM2021-EuroNorth Structures Maserati CustomerPresentation
During the EuroMed 2021 Regional User Meeting, Raffaele TORIACO from Maserati presented "Lightweight Engineering for Automotive Industry". In this presentation, Raffaele describes the methodology-development for the design of automotive components using Additive Manufacturing technologies. The methodology starts from the optimization of a design space, through the virtual validation until the printing of the component. At the end of the process, a numerical experimental correlation has been performed.
Raffaele Toriaco in an Italian Mechanical Engineer, graduated at University of Bologna. Raffaele works as a CAE Specialist at Maserati Innovation Lab in the Chassis Virtual Analysis Team.
His experience in Maserati began during his thesis internship where he had the opportunity to design various components using Additive Manufacturing technologies. After that Raffaele specialized in Structural Analysis on Chassis components. He considers himself a proactive person and is always looking for exciting challenges.
During his free time Raffaele goes cycling and enjoys cooking.
