Abstract

Simulation is a broad field, covering multiple physics, dimensions and length-scales. Ultimately all approaches and methods provide different levels of insight and answer the question: are the respective requirements met with the proposed design. In this case study we display a holistic product development process on the 3DEXPERIENCE business platform, by following a model-based system engineering (MBSE) approach connecting ideation, requirements, design and finally numerical validation.

As Head of Simulation Services at CENIT, Daniel Vallicotti manages a team of simulation experts, providing technical support, services and overall insights on the use of SIMULIA products and tolerance management. Daniel studied civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart where he also worked as a teaching assistant during his PhD studies at the institute of applied mechanics. He joined CENIT in late 2018, working as an Abaqus support engineering and SIMULIA tech-sales specialist.
