Abstract:
This presentation introduces a revolutionary pilot project in the field of AEC, focused on the integration of advanced digital methodologies to optimize the transformation process. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the project embraces different phases, from architectural design to physical and mechanical simulation, with the aim of maximizing the efficiency and sustainability of the final result. Starting from the creation of virtual architectural models, virtual reality devices will be used to allow stakeholders to immerse themselves in the experience and provide immediate feedback. In parallel, physical and mechanical simulations will be conducted to optimize structural and thermal behavior, focusing on the simulation of fiber-reinforced concrete material. Finally, the potential of large-scale concrete slip-forming construction techniques and 3D printing will be explored.
About the Speaker:
Andrea Bassani is a Civil Structural Engineer with a strong background in material science. Andrea is also an expert in the design and optimization of reinforced concrete and prefabricated structures, with the application of fiber-reinforced concrete for industrial floors, foundations and slabs.
