The Abaqus guide Getting Started with Abaqus: Keywords Edition was last published in the Abaqus 6.14 release and is no longer delivered with the Abaqus documentation. The Getting Started with Abaqus/CAE guide, available with the Abaqus documentation, contains the same conceptual information about Abaqus capabilities and leads you through the modeling process using Abaqus/CAE.

The attached file contains the Abaqus 6.14 PDF version of Getting Started with Abaqus: Keywords Edition. You can continue to use this guide to become familiar with the Abaqus input file syntax for static and dynamic structural simulations.

Even though the guide is not included in Abaqus 2016 and later releases, input files for all of the examples are still provided with each Abaqus release in compressed archive files. The abaqus fetch utility is used to extract these input files for use.
