The latest release of fe-safe™ fatigue analysis software for FE models demostrates new enhanced capability for fatigue of spot welds. Very short analysis times are obtained even with models that contain many thousands of spot welds, such as car bodies.
The spot weld capability in fe-safe™ 6.3 is simple to apply and computationally efficient, and enables a large number of spot welds to be analysed. fe-safe is able to "auto detect" spot welds, thereby providing the means to assess thousands of spot welds by using a single Verity® definition, thus simplifying and significantly speeding up the analysis without compromising on accuracy.
