I’ve created a simulation in Abaqus to study the impact of post-tensioned bars (cables or beams) on the hysteresis behavior of steel beams and columns under cyclic loading. The results show how post-tensioning alters the hysteresis loop (cradle sahpe) and enhances energy absorption, improving the structure’s nonlinear response. ⚙️💥
