Abstract:
Superconducting Radio Frequency Cavities are used to accelerate and store a 300mA electron beam at 3 GeV in the storage ring of the Diamond Light Source. Each of the two operating cavities supply CW RF power in excess of 200 kW at 500MHz. In this presentation a summary of multipacting and beam cavity interaction studies at DLS using CST Particle Studio will be presented.
Speaker Info:Shivaji Pande is presently working as Senior Radio Frequency Physicist at Diamond Light Source, Oxfordshire, UK. He has experience in the design of Radio Frequency cavities for charged particle accelerators, electron guns and the interaction of the charged particle beam with these structures.
