Dell and NCSA Run Benchmark Using Intel Xeon Processors - Increasing Abaqus Speed by 53%

Check out the article on Tech Page One  NCSA helps companies tackle HPC investment which was recently posted. It details the benefits of using high performance computing technology to increase the speed and efficiency of large FEA jobs and specifically calls out Abaqus.

"NCSA needed the additional HPC power to run finite element analysis applications such as Dassault Systèmes’ Abaqus, a simulation tool for engineers in various industries such as aerospace, automotive and the life sciences. Automotive industry engineers use Abaqus to simulate vehicle loads, dynamic vibration, crashes and impact. By upgrading its Xeon-based nodes, engineers gained a 53 percent boost in speed when performing memory-intensive simulations."
