We were honored to have Bill Siino from Curious Communications & Clint Patton from GoEngineer present at the 2026 SIMULIA Americas Users Conference in Novi, Michigan, May 13-14, 2026.
Abstract:
A new compact high-performance circularly polarized dish feed has been developed with the help of CST MWS.
The feed is designed to be used within a parabolic dish for Earth-Moon-Earth (EME) communications at 1296 Mhz.
The feed uses a square patch with perturbations that's excited with tapered probes through a square loop aperture. The probes, aperture and patch are printed on circuit boards.
Both S11 and S12 are near -20 dB with Axial Ratio <3 dB.
Presenters:
Bill Siino President & CEO - Curious Communications Bill Siino, B.S.E.E, M.S.E.E, is the President and CEO of Curious Communications in San Diego, California. Bill enjoys designing EME antennas for the amateur radio community while he's not processing big data for automotive OEMs. |
