Normally when a CAE file is created, caching (Tools->Options->Automatically cache up to) option is ON(checked). If we use this option with default value as 5, then after every 5 features the resultant geometry will be cached, so whenever a feature is edited, regeneration will start only from 5th feature previous to the edited feature in the worst case scenario and then continue onto all downward features.

Larger this number, more regeneration time it will take while a smaller number means huge internal memory usage.

If this option is OFF(unchecked), then all of the features in the part will be regenerated- This might not be feasible for large models with hundreds of features.
