Axial, Bending, Torsion, Combined and Buckling Analysis of an I-Beam

In this tutorial, a finite element model of a beam will be constructed and analyzed using Abaqus/CAE.The analysis will look at stresses and displacements associated with multiple loading conditions for asteel I-beam. The beam will be “clamped” at one end and be loaded on the other end with prescribed displacements for axial, torsion and bending loads. A unit force will be applied to find the critical buckling load and the associated mode shape.
