RUM2021 RUM2021-EuroCentral CustomerPresentation CST Studio Suite
Abstract:
A workflow for the simultaneous optimization of an antenna element in Unit cell environment will be presented. CST Schematic will be used for setting up the simulation.
Speaker Info:
Dr. Arshad Mehmood is RF Engineering Team lead at ALCAN Systems GmbH where they work on developing phased array antennas using Liquid Crystal technology. And, needless to say, their simulations involve CST studio extensively. For complex systems like phased array, CST comes in quite handy for handling not only the component level simulations but also step by step integration of the different components into the whole system.
He hold a Bachelor of Science degree from COMSATS University Abbottabad Pakistan, Master of Science and PhD degrees from Technical University of Darmstadt. During the PhD he worked with Dielectric Resonator Antennas (DRAs) from glass and glass-ceramics.
He believes that RF/Microwave components and systems of today are so complex that designing them with pen and paper is nearly impossible. That is why tools like CST Microwave Studio are indispensable not only for practicing RF/Microwave and Antenna engineers like ourselves, but also for students to grasp intricacies of Electromagnetism by providing valuable insights. He looks forward to helping others while also advancing my knowledge in the Simulia/CST community platform.
