Abstract:
Non intentional radiation to equipment is a common issue in EMC discipline (Electromagnetic Compatibility). CST can be used to predict possible scenarios where EMC issues may occur. In this presentation a real use case of shielding effectiveness on a spacecraft will be analyzed. The aim of the simulation is to predict the field attenuation between an S-band antenna and payload equipment of the spacecraft.
Speaker Info:Hirahi Galindo was born in Tenerife in 1993. He studied Telecommunications engineering at UPV (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia). His master’s degree thesis was focused on simulation and
manufacturing of resonant filters with SIW technology and was presented at NEMO 2018 (Numerical Electromagnetic and Multiphysics Modeling and Optimization). Since 2017, Hirahi has worked as computational electromagnetics engineer at Airbus Defense Space S.A.U. at the EMC department. His main work topics are HIRF, DCI and lightning simulations and also antenna placement simulations. During the last year he has started to support EMC activities for spacecraft systems.
