Abstract:
A cost effective concept for wafer-level test fixtures based on spring pins is shown. Material selection, design of the spring pins and geometrical arrangement is completely based on EM simulation using CST Studio.

Dr. Thomas Gneiting is founder and managing director of AdMOS GmbH, a company which is focused on modeling, simulation and design support. He studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen and worked as R&D engineer for digital controllers at FESTO in Esslingen. After gaining practical experience in industry, he spent 4 years in a joint research project between the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen and the Brunel University of West London, where he received his PhD degree in 1997. In the same year Thomas Gneiting founded AdMOS in Frickenhausen near Stuttgart. AdMOS was one of the first users of CST Microwave Studio and started with version 0.8 of the program in 1998.
