The updated Abaqus Export feature in ThermoAnalytics 11.0 software, can significantly reduce the simulation time for brakes and other thermal-FEA models.
Hear this first hand at the 2013 SIMULIA Community Conference during ThermoAnalytics' presentation on Tuesday, May 22 at 14:40.
The updated Abaqus export supports writing Abaqus thermal results and geometry to Abaqus in the Abaqus ODB format, which can be used to perform thermal stress simulation.
Transient and steady-state results are supported by Abaqus, including shell and volume elements, and can be exported to a single ODB file.
The Abaqus export also supports overwriting or appending results to existing files.
Additional New Features Include:
- Advanced Thermal Solver: The new Algebraic Multi-Grid (AMG) Thermal Solver delivers a significant reduction in thermal solution time with higher accuracy and support for large models.
- File Compression: Thermal and View Factor files are now automatically compressed to reduce storage size and file read times.
- View Factor Visualization: The new view factor visualization feature enables real time understanding of radiation physics along with solution accuracy versus runtime tradeoffs.
- Abaqus Export: The updated Abaqus export supports writing transient thermal results and geometry to the Abaqus ODB format.
- Clothing Measurement Import: Import and apply clothing measurement data directly to your human thermal model from any MTNW full body manikin running ThermDAC control software.
- Human Thermal Module: Improved accuracy of the rectal temperature prediction through the integration of a GI (gastrointestinal) tract in the physiology model.
- Convergence History: Detailed convergence data is now saved with a model so convergence history can be viewed when post processing the model after the current session.
- Coupling: Support has been added for coupling with OpenFOAM and AcuSolve CFD solvers with thermal models.
