A bone plate is a thin metal implant used to immobilize bone segments.  The bone plate is affixed with screws to properly align the bone to aid in the healing process.  The attached tutorial from Cedarville University provides instructions on modeling the cylindrical bone and plate with healing on the fracture callus (indicated by stiffness choice).
