Abaqus Plugins 2024

Hi everyone,

 

I would like to share with all of you all my portfolio updated for 2024 version

 

 

The plugins updates are:

Multiple Animations Plugin

This plugin allow to the user to create a unique animation file (.avi file) based on multiple .odb files.

 

Updates:

Now, the user can define the name and the approximate time of the animation.

 

AutoKeeler Plugin

This plugin create a FLD for damage initiation models based on Keeler-Goodwin laws. The FLD can be created based on the plastic definition of the material or directly by tabular data.

 

Updates:

Now, the FLD graph is shown in the Abaqus graphs instead Matplotlib

 

Center by Three Points Plugin

This plugin creates a datum point at the center of circel defined by three points. The plugin is accessible through datum ribbon

 

Drawbead Plugin

This plugin creates the model for the drawbead quickly

 

Bending Pipe Plugin

This plugin creates all the workflow and models to simulate bending pipe process. Several bending process are implemented and the default values are taking from years of experience in this kind of process.

Improved the Weld and HAZ selection

 

Anisotropic Calculator Plugin

This plugin calculated the anisotropic parameters based on experimental data which is relatively easy to find. The anisotropic models implemented are: Hill-48, Hill-90, Hill-93, Barlat-89, Barlat-91, Barlat-2005 (YLD-2004-18P) and BBC-2005

 

Update:

Virtual Lab which allows to check the anisotropic parameters in the FEM model or to optimize this parameters directly in the FEM model. The optimization in the Virtual Lab is computationally expensive.

 

Plastic Curve Generator

This plugin calculates de plastic curve based on different types of input data. Some tools inside the plugin are implemented to simplify the input data. Different strategies to obtain the material constants are implemented depending of the law chosen. The law implemented are: Hollomon, Ludwik, Swift, Krupkowski, Ramberg-Osgood, Johnson-Cook, Hockett-Sherby and Hollomon Linear Constant.

The two last laws have an iteration process to find the material constants based on the uniaxial test simulation over a smooth specimen. This specimen can be created easily with a tool to create specimens according with different standards.

 

Update:

Hockett-Sherby based on law uses the definition proposed by J. E. HOCKETT and O. D. SHERBY

Hollomon Linear Constant based on law uses the relationship proposed by Hyeong Do Kweon to be used in all range of plastic strains

Improved the Ramberg-Osgood performance.
