"Isight for Abaqus" is an Abaqus/CAE plugin that allows an Abaqus/CAE user to create and execute multi-run design exploration strategies on their current /CAE analysis. This is achieved by transparently leveraging the power of Isight’s exploration techniques without the user needing to leave the Abaqus/CAE session or have any prior Isight model building training or knowledge.
Using a simple wizard approach, the plugin guides the user to define their exploration, formulate the problem using available Abaqus model parameters and execute the multiple Abaqus runs either locally or via HPC configuration.
From /CAE, the user launches the Isight for Abaqus wizard a selects their desired exploration type ( Design of Experiments (DOE) or Optimization methods):
Next, the user formulates their exploration by defining the parameters to be varied, the initial values (for inputs), lower/upper bounds, constraints and objectives (minimize, maximize or targets).
Once formulated, the user can then execute the exploration study. Upon execution, the Isight runtime gateway is launched to monitor the progress of the jobs. The Abaqus jobs themselves could be executed locally or via HPC configuration.
