2D Concrete Mesoscale Modeling with Fibers: Abaqus Script

I’ve developed a 2D script for simulating concrete in Abaqus at the mesoscale, which allows flexibility in modeling concrete with fibers and aggregates. This script enables you to input several key parameters for detailed concrete simulations. The following settings can be adjusted:

  1. Length of the Plate
  2. Width of the Plate
  3. Maximum Aggregate Diameter
  4. Minimum Aggregate Diameter
  5. Tolerance
  6. Volume Fraction of Aggregate
  7. ITZ (Interfacial Transition Zone) Thickness
  8. Element Size
  9. Number of Fibers
  10. Minimum Fiber Length
  11. Maximum Fiber Length

You can easily modify these parameters to optimize the model for different project needs. While I haven’t optimized it as a plugin, this script can be a valuable tool for students, researchers, and professionals working on concrete simulations and related optimization tasks.
