Hotfix 0.8 for SOLIDWORKS Connected Maker version was released a few hours ago. I 💯% recommended that everyone upgrade to it immediately.
It fixes the problem of using a desktop shortcut to launch SOLIDWORKS Connected which causes an endless loop of "Update Profile" dialog boxes that never let you get to the software.
The update is a straightforward process. I documented my update from Hotfix 0.5 to HF0.6 a few weeks ago. This HF0.8 update follows the exact same procedure. You can read my posting here:
