As some of you in this MAKERS | Support community have asked about collaborating with other makers, we are excited to announce a new workflow.

Starting with R2023x FD03 version (July 26, 2023), you can share files from SOLIDWORKS Connected with people who are outside of your MAKERS platform. Those people can view and provide feedback on your designs, even if they do not have 3DEXPERIENCE or SOLIDWORKS licenses. You can see their feedback within the SOLIDWORKS Task Pane.

The videos below show how you can share your files with anyone or only with specific people.

Limitation for Makers

If you share a file using the SLDPRT file format, other people can view, mark up and download it. However, only Maker users will be able to open the downloaded file for editing.
