Since many of you design and create products that you use on a daily basis in context of an environment, you may find the following enhancement useful. After the March 13 update of the MAKERS platform, you will be able to insert dynamic environments to create and visualize your products.
Insert Environment feature is available in both xDesign and xShape applications within your 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS for Makers subscription.
Steps to setting up your Environments:
- Create a new physical product > click Save
- Navigate to Tools > Update Content Library > Update Environments. The update process duration may vary based on your internet speed.
- Once the update is complete, click Insert Environment to get started.
The above steps are also indicated in the video below:
A quick heads up:
- Upon inserting the environment, the view mode will switch to perspective. You can modify these settings from View in the toolbar> View Modes.
- For better graphics performance, change the Graphics Preference from the System Settings on your Windows > Graphics settings. For detailed steps visit the Changing the System GPU help.
- A use-case video for this feature can be viewed in the post here- 3D Creator
