Hello GEOVIA community,
The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is running on R2024x FD02 since a week. Now is the perfect moment to refresh our mind by revisiting the content of FD01 and exploring the exciting new features of FD02!
City Prepare has enhanced authoring capabilities, allowing you to easily cut, copy, and paste one or multiple features at once.Do not miss also the new processors (Points to Path, Lines to Polygon, Repair Lines) as they can provide significant assistance. And with the added feature of 3DS Map support or the ability to drag'n drop images from City Discover, you are fully prepared for your upcoming project 🚀
As a City Referential Managers, you can now create the 3DS Map dataset for any referential including existing ones and we strongly encourage you to do so.
About datasets, notice that you have the option to skip indexing the content (for simple features or trees) in order to save storage space and improve processing speed up.
Referential Managers now also have the capability to link any content from the Platform to any building of the referential, making it convenient to share relevant documents with City Contributors.
Did you know that City Discover and City Play now support simulation objects? This is always impressive 😍
When it comes to Platform's content, City Discover now better handles terrain collision with the ability to clip the digital terrain over a design model.
Keep in mind that there initiatives underway to improve measures. For now, take a look at measure properties in the Properties panel and the new Distance tool. This one is also available in City Play and more will come soon!
Regarding annotations, we have now the ability to differentiate Point Of Interest from Collaboration annotations within City Discover. User experience has been improved to speed up creation and more effectively differentiate between various stakeholders.
