There are two fundamental ways to search: a global search or a filtered search in your current view/document/dashboard/widget (called "Search in Current Page").
Watch this 1' video or read the step-by-step instructions below.
1️⃣ A global search for content
To enable this search, click the down arrow in the search bar, and choose "Search"
The search Bar will now show "Search" in light gray text. When you enter in some search text, the system will make suggestions for your search as you type.
This will Search (1) in all communities you have access to for all types of content. You can then use 6WTags (2/3) to narrow down your search results to find exactly what you are looking for. It can also be very helpful to show the preview of the selected content (4), from which you can also open the item you have selected.
2️⃣ Filter for content within the current page/dashboard/context
Watch the video and read the step-by-step instructions below.
The filter Search in Current Page (1) will live filter the current page or dashboard you are on and only show elements that correspond with the search term you entered, e.g. "Simpack". You can then still use 6WTags (2/3) to further narrow down the list of items shown in the main view, e.g. only show content that was created in a specific year.
