Join us for the upcoming Webinar, The Integrated Nature of Mining presented by @FF, Global Senior Mining Consultant with Dassault Systèmes.
The interconnected nature of mining offers risks and opportunities at the same time. The extent to which these masked potential pitfalls and opportunities could be revealed before turning into significant economic losses over the life-of-mine (LOM) depends on how detailed the inherent variabilities within the value-chain are captured, described and accounted in decision-making.
Integrated Strategic Mine Planning (I-SMP) is a newly developed approach, which allows for key sources of uncertainty to be incorporated into mine planning through simulation process automation and design optimization. It, therefore, assists with the assessment of probabilities beyond the average, where profit and loss occur in practice.
About the presenter
@FF is a Mining & Mineral Processing Engineer (BEng, MEng, Ph.D.) with expertise in Drill & Blast design optimization, field measurement and model development. With over 12 years of experience in Research, Consulting and Industry, Farhad has worked as Drill & Blast Superintendent - designed, led and surveyed over 100 full-scale production blasts at some large iron and copper open-pit mines.
