Now Available: GEOVIA Surpac 2022

We are delighted to inform you that GEOVIA Surpac 2022 is now available for download from the 3DS Support site at www.3ds.com/support. GEOVIA maintained users covered under the Dassault Systèmes Support & Maintenance agreement can download this version at no cost.

Here are the highlights of this release:

GEOVIA BLOCK MODELER

Grade Control

Surpac 2022 provides a new focus on Grade Control capabilities, providing users with both new functionalities aimed at meeting the pressing needs of this critical task, and bringing together existing functionality into a new central location under Block Model > BM grade control. A strong focus has been placed on providing a clear and repeatable workflow to support users while enhancing the SDM file format and leveraging the use of metadata. Grade Control includes some of the following capabilities:

  • Ability to Evaluate, Classify, Code and Display Dig Blocks
  • Incorporating digitizing polygons from intersecting lines
    • Create polygons by layer
    • Create polygons by selection
    • Split polygon by digitizing
    • Split polygon by digitized segment
    • Merge selected polygons
  • Slice and Plot Dig and Markup plans

Multiple block models load/display/report

Improved data validation through the ability to display and visually inspect multiple block models at the same time. Users can load multiple block models in the Graphics Window and control the visibility of the loaded block models while retaining all of the block model operations in an active model when switching to another model.

GEOVIA STOPE OPTIMIZER

Upgrade of the Stope Shape Optimizer (SSO) engine

In addition to upgrading the SSO engine to version 4.1, Surpac 2022 users now have access to the new Boundary Surface Method which provides the ability to generate multiple stope shapes in a short period of time while resolving issues around the naming of sub-economic stopes. The 'Stope Slicer' and 'Solid Slicer‘ functions have also been enhanced to retain or recalculate the original solid data.

GEOVIA SURPAC

Data using styles

Surpac 2022 allows users to control the visibility of strings and objects through the use of styles and then store this display status in the SDM file. This allows a more intuitive and improved user experience.

Slice solids maintaining metadata

With the improved SDM file functionalities, Surpac 2022 users can slice objects, centre line slice, and solid slicer, maintaining the metadata in their respective output segments. This allows data from coded trisolations to be transferred to slice polygons for display or plotting purposes.

Many other improvements have been made in Surpac 2022.
