- About: Sharing data can lead to a breakthrough in how Africa manages health and safety in its mines and its broader value chain. However, many remain reluctant to share data, fearful that they will give a competitive advantage to a rival company. Couple this with interoperability issues of dealing with multiple different technology systems, data can become useless. When it comes to health and safety, it is no longer about competitive edges, but human lives. What does Africa need to do to improve in this area?
