A Change Dependency is a relationship between two change objects in which the completion status of one of the objects is dependent on the completion status of the other. Through creating the dependency, the user is able to set a Change Order.

This functionality can be applied, for example, for approval coordination between the Design Engineer and the Manufacturing Engineer in updating the EBOM/MBOM. Through defining the dependency from the Manufacturing CA to the Design CA, the user prevents the Manufacturing-approval start for a change until the Design CA has been approved/completed.

Follow these steps:

1. In Manufacturing CA, click “Dependency,” value “No” -> the “Dependency View” appears
2. Click “Add Dependency” -> 3D Search opens
3. Search and select the Design CA -> the Design CA appears in “Dependency View”
