You can quickly find the required product using its Enterprise Item Number (EIN) without needing to apply any 6WTags filters. Since the EIN is referenced across multiple objects, a traditional search retrieves all objects where the EIN is mentioned. This often forces users to rely on filters to narrow down results, making the process inefficient.

To address this, the "Search in Enterprise Item Number" option allows you to directly locate the physical product based on its EIN. This is particularly useful for users who frequently rely on EIN for searches, as it removes the need for unnecessary filtering and saves valuable time.

How?

Your Administrator can enable this capability from the 3DSearch & Tags Control Center by following these steps: 

• Navigate to General > Search in Attribute section. 
• Configure the following:
  • Database = Collaborative Spaces
  • Type = Physical Product
  • Extension = EnterpriseExtension
• Once the above is set, select: 
  • Attribute = Enterprise Item Number.

Once this setting is enabled, all users can select the "Search in Enterprise Item Number" option in the search dropdown to perform searches using the Enterprise Item Number (EIN).
