For those who are interested in using the BOM or change management capabilities with ENG in R.A.C.E. R2013x. You can maximize the technology if you follow the 2 following points:
- You have to install first TBE, mandatory for a R.A.C.E. server deployment. TBE license is not requested, only TBE code has to be installed. ENG (Engineering Central) must be installed after TBE.
R&D is still assessing on the result of not following the right sequence. They believe that it has something to do with the UI display and sync between EC Part on R.A.C.E. setup. This will be fix in R2014.
- In order to activate the Public/Protected/Private P&O projects, you must install at minimum the FP1308 or above and run the EnableRACEScript.tcl that can be found at:
