In order to compete in dynamic global markets, OEMs and Suppliers must collaborate effectively in the design and manufacturing of innovative new products. The Engineering teams at companies are becoming global with Suppliers across the world.

ENOVIA V6 supports a single global database connecting OEM Designers on CATIA V6 and Suppliers on CATIA V6 for co-design processes. However there are many situations where Suppliers need to have their own ENOVIA V6 environment to manage their CATIA V6 design data which requires exchange of CATIA V6 design data between the OEM and the Supplier.

In an upcoming ENOVIA V6 release we are providing a capability called "Supply Chain Exchange Space" which allows OEM's to leverage Supplier expertise while controlling who gets access to CATIA V6 designs and tracking all exchanges between the OEM and Supplier.  It also provides:

- Direct export/import from CATIA V6 into the Exchange Space

- Secure access to the Exchange Space to only authorized Suppliers using ENOVIA V6 web client  

- Process management via Projects, Workflows, Publish/Subscribe mechanism, etc..

Attached image shows the data exchange process between the OEM and Supplier leveraging teh "Supply Chain Exchange Space".
