A colleague recently referred me to an interesting article on Requirements Management and the relative merits of a PLM-based solution or a point solution. Not surprisingly, the article concludes that the broader functionality of a PLM-based solution are imperative for really making a difference in overall product development performance. Specifically, the article points out that requirements must be traceable to a product’s features (or functions) and the physical items that deliver these features. Without this traceability, how does one know if requirements are being properly fulfilled?
Anyway, I would appreciate hearing your opinions on this topic and if you have any plans to add ENOVIA Requirements Central to your implementation.
