Removal of “Realized Changes” from a Change Action

It often happens that while working under a certain Change Action (CA), in your web browser or a CAD application, several contents is captured by that CA and saved under the “Realized Changes” tab, while this was not your intention in the first place.

If you must remove these unwanted “Realized Changes” from the CA, you have the following methods that help you to do so:

1

Delete “Realized Changes”

Done from the app “Collaborative Lifecycle”:

  1. Add the data that you want to remove from the CA, to the widget “Collaborative Lifecycle”
  2. Apply “Work Under” using the same Change Action
  3. Delete the data (full removal from the Database)

In case you want to simply remove relation between objects, and not fully deleting it from the Database, use the Work under and remove the data from where it was attached.

2

Move “Realized Changes”

Done from the “Change Action”:

Use the command “Move Realized”. You can move to either a new Change Action or to existing one

Note that we now have the option to move without creating a dependency link.

3

Ignore “Realized Changes”

Done from the “Change Action” itself

Data will be ignored from the “Realized Changes” and taken into account by the Change Action process.

The following short video illustrates case 2 and 3.
