As many of you know, 2013x brought us the ability to auto-name files in SLW. You may also be aware that the Name attribute has been mapped to the Name of the configuration to enforce uniqueness of the configuration instances. There are plusses and minuses to the current OOTB methodology and we are looking at ways to improve this area. I have deleoped the attached document where I have outlijned my thoughts on how to best refine the current auta-naming and mapping. Please review the attached document and share your knowledge on what I may have missed here, if it can be simpler, or if it is too simple.  I spoke with DEC and they do not want to alter the Name to Name mapping from the SW Instances to the Engineering Part as this is consistent across all other CAD integerations today so my focus is to make the improvements within the SW Components and the subsequent Instances only.
