You cannot update an Experience Center Server if it was ordered as a Packaged Demo. Servers must be a clean GA release.

You can go to your server's Admin Console to verify the installation. The CatalogName must have the word "WITHCOS". The attached document will explain the process.

The other attachment explains how to update a Experience Center Server. The update is the same for 16x, 17x, or 18x.
