We are using a business logic script to set our own EIN format.

What we do not know [yet] if there is a way to READ and SET (write) the counter in the EIN definition with a script.

Are there API's to set and read this counter value?

So, this is without setting a new [next] value of that counter. That will be done in the normal interactive Set EIN dialogue.
