Introduction
The Model Definition app in the Product Manager (PDM) role allows product managers to define and maintain the enterprise variability, constraints and product configurations with complete traceability and agility. Starting from the R2023x FD01 release, you can now use the new “Roadmap” feature to easily prioritize existing product requirements using qualitative scoring methods and assign them to the required model version. These product requirements can represent a proposal of product enhancements or fixes to improve the product offering.
Product Roadmap Management
The new “Roadmap” tab is now provided in the Information panel of the Model Definition app. This tab shows the committed and backlog requirements for a given model. You can search for existing requirement and add them in this tab. This tab contains following two sections:
- Committed: All the requirements that are assigned to the opened model version are shown in this section.
- Backlog: All the outstanding requirements that are not yet assigned to any model version are shown in this section.
